TRAIN SAFELY AND RESPONSIBLY

Health &
Liability Notice

Bergstark RacePlan supports adults who are generally healthy and physically active with organising their training. The service does not replace a medical examination, diagnosis, treatment or in-person supervision.

Acute symptoms or an emergency?

Stop training immediately. In Austria: ambulance 144, health advice line 1450.

1. Who the service is for

The planning service is intended for adults without acute health restrictions. A medical or sports-medical assessment is advisable before beginning training, particularly if you have a known medical condition, have had a long break from training, are uncertain about your exercise capacity, experience recurring symptoms, have had a serious injury or otherwise have doubts about your fitness for sport.

2. Not a medical service

Harald Feuchter creates training concepts in the preventive and sport-specific field. No illness or injury is diagnosed, treated or managed therapeutically, and no medical exercise therapy is provided. Heart rate, performance data, recovery and other information are used only for sport-related planning.

3. When you should not train

In particular, do not begin or continue a session if you experience:

  • fever, an acute infection or a pronounced feeling of illness,
  • chest pain, pressure or unusual shortness of breath,
  • dizziness, fainting or newly occurring heart palpitations,
  • acute pain, swelling or a recent injury,
  • neurological symptoms, or
  • a medical prohibition on sport or physical exertion.

If you are uncertain, seek medical advice before continuing.

4. Managing training load responsibly

Specifications for duration, intensity and volume are guidance ranges. Adjust or stop a session according to your current condition, fatigue, weather, terrain and any symptoms. Watches, heart-rate sensors, power meters and AI analyses can produce incorrect values and do not replace your own perception.

5. The information you provide

Complete and truthful information is necessary for responsible planning. Report new symptoms, illnesses, injuries, medication relevant to exercise and medical restrictions without delay. Where information raises a safety concern, planning may be paused and medical clearance may be requested.

6. Specific risks of mountain sports

Ski touring, mountain running, cycling and other outdoor sports involve independent risks, including sudden weather changes, avalanches, falls, road traffic, difficult terrain, cold, heat, darkness and equipment failure. A RacePlan does not replace avalanche and safety training, navigation, route planning, technical instruction or equipment inspection.

Observe official warnings, avalanche bulletins, weather conditions, course closures, event rules and your technical abilities. You remain responsible for choosing a suitable route and conditions.

7. Race fuelling

Guidance on carbohydrates, fluids and timing is general sport-specific orientation and does not constitute individual nutritional counselling, a diet plan or a weight-loss programme. Test products and quantities during training before using them in a race. Seek appropriately qualified medical or nutritional advice if you have allergies, intolerances, metabolic conditions or medical nutrition questions.

8. No guarantee of results

Training progress and race performance depend on many individual factors. No specific performance improvement, placing, freedom from symptoms or achievement of a target time is guaranteed.

9. Liability

The applicable statutory liability rules apply. Liability for personal injury and for damage caused intentionally or through gross negligence is not excluded.

To the extent permitted by law, no liability is accepted for consequences caused solely by incorrect or withheld information, substantial unauthorised departures from the plan, ignoring warning signs, or disregarding weather, terrain or safety conditions.

10. Questions before starting

If a session, intensity target or safety instruction is unclear, do not begin on assumption. Contact hfeuchter@gmail.com first.
